Netphone (VoIP) Stuttered Dial Tone explained

This article will teach you what to do when you hear an unusual dial tone on your Netphone (VoIP) service.
 

Symptom

  • When you lift the handset to make a call, you hear a stuttered tone instead of a regular dial tone.
     

Troubleshooting

  1. The stuttered tone indicates that you have a new voice mail waiting.
     
  2. You can clear the stuttered tone by dialling *99 on your handset.
